Default New LED Nav/Strobe Lights

Whelen Engineering recently announced their new MicroBurst LED nav/strobe light system for Experimental aircraft. It also has their unique comet flash feature. All for $499!!! This is by far the cheapest I've seen. Maybe it will force their 2 big competitors to come down on price.

I looked at them too but decided on these :-

When you look at the comparison, Water "Proof", Vibration "Proof" and $400.

Looks like you are right?

If you do a search there is a long thread already on these particular lights. The new whelen lights are not TSO and supposedly don't meet the spec, hence the price difference.

Edit: Here is the thread.

I saw these at Whelen's booth and the rep told me they were $375 for the two wing tips and the tail nav/strobe package. They told me I needed to go to Comm Source's booth to purchase. At the Comm Source booth they told me they were $499... I liked them for $375. Not sure I like them for $499...

Default Aveo PowerBurst Source?

Dancing Panda,

Did you purchase Aveo PowerBurst lights for $400 a pair? If so, where? Do you have a link?

Thanks,

Bill Palmer
