Does anyone know what size "F" is?

It's .2570 . There are many references out on the web. Here the first one I came across: http://www.carbidedepot.com/formulas-drillsize.htm

If you have the Avery catalog, there is a drill size reference chart in the back. I kept that page handy while I was building.
