Question Engine control cable fixing

I have a question with regards to Throttle and Mixture cables and how to fix them on the engine side - as in at the carb or FI unit.

The brackets we get from Vans have big holes that works well with the threaded bulkhead type cables. Some cables are notched and grooved instead. What is the best way of fixing these on the engine side.

Please post a picture if you can.
Many thanks.

Jan----not too sure of your question, are you asking about the outer housing, or the inner cable/wire??

For the outer take a look at

and

and

For the inner wire look at

Hope this helps.
