Question Power Outlet Ground

I was installing the power outlet and wondered how I should run the ground wire. My first though was to just ground it locally but then I thought maybe I should run a ground wire back to my forest of tabs. Did most of you use a local ground? If you power a handheld radio or say a DVD player from this outlet, would a local ground create problems. Thanks for the help.

Cheers

I plan on using the ground power plug to be able to jump start the aircraft, so I ran a 12 inch long 8 AWG ground wire to the longeron, which is my main ground point for both batteries.

If you are just using it for avionics ground power then the ground tabs plate should be fine.
