Default Fuel Tank Stiffeners

The plans say that the fuel tank stiffeners may be oriented with free angle forward (opposite of what's shown on plans) to ease final tank sealing. If it's easier to seal them with free angle forward, I wonder why they didn't show it that way on the plans? In any case, I have to decide which way to orient them before they're match drilled to skins. Does anyone have any pros or cons on stiffener orientation?

Good question, Ken!

I installed mine with the free angle forward. It wasn't that hard to do the backriveting at all.

I am sure it doesn't matter at all, but I just followed the plans.

Ditto, did mine the same as per drawings, and was not difficult at all. Wonder what they meant in the note...

Smile

CJ/Rudi,

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like the best thing to do is just follow the plans.
