Default TruTrak servo harness and comm coax

Hi all again,

I got to wondering the other day if there are any issues bundling the TruTrak pitch and/or roll servo harness with the VHF comm coax cable (RG-400). Just worried about goofy things happening when I transmit. I may have wired my old RV-4 like this (don't remember for sure) but if I did, I had no problems.

Thanks much,

OK, I'll admit that I defied conventional wisdom and ran the comm coax along with the TT pitch servo wiring on my 8A. These wires run together for about six feet. Also the antenna connection is basically right under the servo and I've had no goofy issues, my comm and AP seem to play nice together.

Good luck with your installation.

The only trouble I've had with RF and TruTrak had nothing to do with wiring runs. In both of my planes equipped with their autopilots I encountered the "aggressive pitch change" when keying the mic.

100% fixed by installing the aftermarket filter. Info is in a sticky on their forum.
