There were many other planes there. I went over to see the -6 that is almost complete and ended up meeting a bunch of nice folks and enjoying breakfast. In fact my whole unit went over and had breakfast (it is drill weekend).

Gotta love drill weekends! At our height of RV ownership right after 9/11, we had 11 RV4's, one RV6 and one RV8 (no A's) in the ALANG (KMGM). Cool enough that some yahoo wrote a blurb in Sport Aviation that somehow made the cover in 2004. It was always neat to be holding short of the runway in the mighty F-16 waiting to take off as a 4 ship of RV4's peeled off in the overhead pattern to land, all of them squadron buds coming to work!

Retirements, numerous desert deployments and new families reduced their numbers but there are three F16/RV and one Turbo Mooney driver still there.
