Default Fixed Trim tab?

Hello,
I've got a couple of questions about the fixed trim tab in the plans that I have for the RV-3.
Is it just made out of balsa wood, or something else?
Do people buy it in the wedge shape, or does it have to be shaved down/sawn from a bigger piece? (I'm not a wood worker!).

Any suggestions on where to get it? Plain old epoxy to secure it in place?

Thanks!

I made mine out of balsa. They have precut wedges of differing types. You just experiment with angle and length by taping them on with duct tape until you get satisfactory results. Make sure you use an appropriate primer/sealer before you paint it or balsa will warp.

any idea where to get these wedge pieced strips? I've been calling some of the local places, hobby/craft/home depot types and no one seems to know what I'm talking about, only sell sheets of balsa.

Thanks,
Ryan

I just went to the local hobby store and they had all kinds of wedges, sizes, and shapes.
