Reviews on B&C Transponder antenna?

B&C has a transponder antenna for $17. Does this compare quality wise to the Rami AV-22 antenna for $35 in Vans catalog? Anyone know?

I've used both and both worked fine, so suggest you save a few $ here if you are stuck on this type. For me, I will step up and get soemthing with a fiberglass shroud next time. Too easy to break these things off when you are under the plane on a creeper wiping it down. I seem to remember somebody on this forum offering up a homebrew with this feature for sale at a reasonable price. Anybody remember who or have the link?
