Cool Pressure testing QB tanks ??

I would assume that the QB tanks have been tested but that might not be a great assumption. Since they are installed on the QB wings, you can't see the backs of the tanks anyway so I was just wondering if some, most, or everyone is actually pressure testing the QB tanks?

Is it common or rare that a QB tank will leak?

I tested mine after the covers and senders were installed. Be sure and remove your covers to ensure the pick up tubes are secured properly. I found no leakage in mine, but some builders have found leaks in theirs. Always wise to test prior to filling with fuel. Simple balloon and manometer tests are available.

Test em - it is super easy and better to find a leak now than when you've put it together at the airport (possibly even painted)

The tanks come installed on the wings for shipping only! They need to be removed, inspected, tested and then installed as per instructions.
