shell 15w50 or 100

I'm sure this has been discussed but lets see.
Currently running 15w50. Now that we're in the summer months should I switch to 100plus. Can't hurt in anyway? Pros and cons? In my previous birds I did the switching thing. Now with this little bigger engine(540) just wanted to see who else does this.
