Unhappy D120 failure

Tonight, after weeks of wiring sensors etc, I fired up my Dynon D120 for the first time.
The screen consists of a large black hill with some vertical lines on top of it. It would not power down and none of the buttons do anything. I am sure Dynon will take care of it but what a disappointment!
I have emailed them.

Default Try this....

Assuming you have the internal battery option, what happens if you power it up w/o the connectors attached?
