Hello
I do believe you are correct sir... Thank you for catching that, can't say I've seen the hardcopy myself.
http://m.aopa.org/members/files/pilo...ne/frugal.html
I've been slammed working on a Cropduster that had sand put in the fuel AND oil... Details if you ask.
Best
Brian

Dirty.....
Yes.... I can't say much now because of the investigation however, there are a few things I can share. The first is that the oil screen on the back of the engine split along the joint because of so much metal (clogged screen = pressure) in the screen. I've never seen that in person before. There was grit in the oil when I removed the oil pan and drained it into a bucket over some fine straining cloth. The full article is in AG Air update. There was fine white sand placed in the Rt tank. It took a lot of work to swap/clean/replace everything and apparently Homeland Security and whoever else has there unders in a square knot over it. The "oh this is the best 188 I've ever seen" annual went from two full days to well over a month of torture. It's scary to see that someone tried to kill somebody and now you are doing the annual. You have to assume that it was someone that really knew what they were doing and that they were as sneaky as they come. You have to check everything about everything.... It's as close to rebuilding the aircraft as it gets. I've found multiple cotter keys removed from the flight controls and who knows what else. Attempted Murder charges are waiting on whoever it was... it could of been multiple people. There are lots of other interesting details.... but all in time my friends. It was really a blue pill or red pill experience(matrix). Which pill do you take? How far down the rabbit hole do you go? The further we went, the more we found. Use your imagination and don't disappoint me. Scary scary scary..... She is much better now
Best

Brian,
The article in AOPA is just right. Congratulations on the exposure. It should be good for you.
Please be careful with the publicity the ag plane fiasco has created.
I hope all is well.
