Question Carburetor problem

Sorry guys - this is a non RV problem, but I really need help. 0-235 Lycoming built into a C150 in the experimantal class. When trying to cut the engine by pulling the mixture, it does not want to quit and I have to push forward the throttle in order to stop the engine. I have seen it on some other AC as while, but I would like to know how t ofix this.

Default Carburator

Check that you are getting full cable travel in your leaning lever. Make sure your primers aren't leaking. Beyond that, make sure the leaning slot inside the carb is in the correct position in relation to the operating lever it attaches to. This should get you started.
