Default New RV-8 Mod?

Not to long ago, someone posted pictures of a retractable RV-4. According to this FAA initial report, there must be at least one retract RV-8 out there too! Or, maybe the FAA needs additional training on aircraft ID, and/or quality control of their reports.

I read these reports almost every day and find that these initial reports FREQUENTLY get little details like that wrong....someone drove up, saw there were no gear, and figured it landed that way. But maybe the gear was just wiped out....

Might have been an RV4. I saw a retractable RV4 for sale recently on e bay or barnstormers that suffered a gear collapse on landing.

Default Glasair

The FAA corrected the report today. It was a retractable Glasair. The world makes sense again.
