Default Aircraft Registration

I bought a empennage, fuselage, and wing kit 3rd hand, and am now trying to get it registrated with the FAA. They want the 'Kit Bill' from Vans to the original owner from 11 yrs ago. I sent the original packing list for kits, evidence of transfer of builder numbers, bill of sale to me, my finish kit invoice, but seems not enough. Did Vans issue an original "Kit Bill of Sale"?

Talk with Cynthia at Van's. She may get you a bill of sale from van's. She helped me in a similar situation. I didn't ask for the kit bill from the original purchaser, but since she was convinced I had the same kit, she got a kit bill of sale made out to me directly.
