Default Voltage Regulator Wiring?

I am replacing an external voltage regulator that has three wires to connect. A red wire is connected to a split master switch, green to "field" & black to ground.

The replacement regulator (Transpo M5-130) has four wires. Their spec sheet lists them as follows: Red to isolation diode(+), Black to ground, Green to field & Yellow to ignition.

Does anyone know if the Red wire needs to be connected? Where?
