Default KLX135A internal bat

My internal battery went dead on my KLX135A. Does anyone know a place that will change this battery at a decent price? Honeywell wants a min of 375 to change a 10 dollar battery that takes less than an hour I am told.

I had mine changed at an avionics ship for about $150.

Try J.A. Air. Eventually I had mine done by them. Unless you do this yourself it is not going to be inexpensive (Mine is in a certified airplane and I elected not to do it myself). In my way of thinking, this is a way of creating future income. As far as I know, every panel GPS has an internal battery that lasts for x number of years and then needs to be replaced at a very profitable price. Now I have vented.

Chuck

Mitch, which shop did this for you? I can't find one that will do it as it required soldering it into the circuit board.
