Default Exhaust System - RV-6A

Last week I found that the left exhaust pipe has moved and it was no longer pointed downward. This was due to a worn out hanger kit. Called Larry Vetterman, Vetterman Exhaust, and received adviced to replaced the hanger kit. I received the kit on Friday April 9 and replaced the kit on Saturday. See pictures of before and after replacing the kit: http://n996us.blogspot.com/

I have had to do another adjustment after talking with Larry. I found out that adjusting the hangers for the exhaust is better done with the bottom cowling in place. It is close quarters but it allows to better see where the exhaust pipes in reference to the bottom of the cowling and the engine mount. See Blog:

Default Larry Vetterman

I too had a bracket fail (130 hrs). After several emails to Larry, he sent me a essentially a new hangar kit - no charge, including postage. I can't say enough about the support you get from Larry.
