Default canopy

Hello, I'm ready to start the glass work on the front fairing of my tip-up. I have noticed that everyone seems to do this with the canopy in place on the fusalage. Is there any reason that this can't be done with the canopy off the fusalage? Is there any chance that the fit might change?

I did mine with the canopy on the work bench. The glass was securely bolted in place to the frame and the assembly was completely finished and ready for the paint once the fairing was finished.
