430WAAS card in a non-WAAS 430?

Anyone know if the WAAS 430 datacard will work in the non-WAAS 430?

NOTE! TRIED IT THIS MORNING -- DOES NOT WORK --- NON-WAAS UNIT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE WAAS CARD.

Call Garmin to be sure, but I know someone who mistakenly signed up for WAAS data updates for a non-WAAS card and it didn't work, so I strongly suspect the data cards themselves aren't interchangeable.

To the best of my knowledge, the data cards for the W and non-W units are not interchangeable.

I don't think it will. I have a non-waas card I would trade you if you would like.

I have one airplane I do monthly subscription WAAS updates, with alternating cards (Piper Lance), but also have a -10 I fly that has a non-WAAS unit. I would like to be able to use the alternate (month-old) card in the non-WAAS unit. Sounds from the feedback that I probably cannot do that.
