Default Question on EGT Delta @ 8000ft DA and the effect of a different DA

I have read many places where a good test is to go to 8000ft DA at WOT and check your EGT Delta from full rich to peak and you should get a delta of 150 to 200 degress with 150 being leand and 200 being rich, 175 being the sweet spot.

The question is what effect would a higher DA or lower DA have on this Delta?

Default Not much, it seems....

Brian, we just did a trip at 7500' with a 9350' DA and were around 1200 rich and 1404 leaned to peak. During winter months, IIRC, the overall temps were lower but the spread similar to warmer DA's. This on an IO-540 Aerosport,

Best
