Default U620 pars for 6A cowl??

I am stumped about the U620 series of parts for under/behind the slot for the nosegear for a 6A. Is that there to support the cowl where the LG slot is??

Seems to me that all I need there is a plate to screw onto the cowl to tie the aft edge of the airscoop back together where that slot is and "fill in" the slot. Is it necessary to support that area on the firwall? I am using camlocks to attach the cowl, so I don't need to deal with hinge pins.

Thanks for the input folks....

Regards,

Default U620 parts

Hi Jeff,
The cowl is really flimsy on both sides of the slot for the nosegear. The parts go together really easily and the rear of the cowl does need support which that part provides. We used four nutplates which also hold our upper intersection fairing in place.
