Aftermarket Trim system

So when I ordered my empennage kit, I went the cheap route and settled for the manual trim system. Now that I am starting the elevators, I think I am going to go ahead and go electric.

Is the system supplied by Van's the best one? Does anyone know of other, possibly better systems offered by a different company?

AFAIK all the systems out there require you to start with Van's motor in the elevator. Most of the aftermarket systems provide ways to control the motor. If there are alternatives to this, I don't know of them. While Van's system does add to the cost, it is lighter and doesn't intrude into the interior. If you think you might go IFR (or even just autopilot,) the electric system does have some advantages.
