Wheel pants-how to hold together?

Hi guys (and gals)

I am installing a set of Sam James wheel pants and this is new to me. I don't know how to hold the two halves together. I mean, I'm assuming I would install nutplates on the inside and screws on the outside. Im wondering how to mount the nutplates. Small flush rivets?

Does anyone have a builders log with pictures?

I used nutplates with solid flush rivets. 3 on the outside, 2 on top and 2 on the inside.
