Default Oshkosh 2006 Highlights 'Hallmarks of Homebuilding'

See the EAA's blurb here.

The key statement to me is:
Quote:
A display on AirVenture?s showcase AeroShell Square, highlighting the homebuilt aircraft that began or defined a particular revolution in homebuilding
Looks like enough of us asked for making homebuilding more prominent, and they listened. Hopefully Van is one of the highlights!

This is great news. I think EAA has always been the mecca for us homebuilders. It's obvious they have expanded into other areas of aviation. I, personally, enjoy all the aviation hubbub that goes on at EAA, but, the homebuilts are # 1 for me.

As a volunteer, I get to spend a lot of time at EAA and really have learned to appreciate all that goes on there. EAA really appreciates it's volunteers. If you ever want to really get into EAA, volunteer. There are many opportunities and the satifaction in helping perpetuate our sport, and aviation, is very gratifying.

It's nice to see different segments of aviation showcased each year to offer all the various people a chance to see their particular interest highlighted.
Look's like Homebuilts turn this year.
