Default DME antenna location

Hi.
In order to meet all antennas distance, I have to install my DME antenna under the tail cone (just in the middle). Antenna will not be "in vertical position when the aircraft is in level flight"; it will be slightly tilted.

As far as I know, DME antenna will work "in sight". So, I guess I will not have major problems with this installation.

Second question: manual says that when coax travel in more than 10', instead of a RG400 one should use a 142B/U. Is that really necessary or may I use a RG400?

Thanks.
Camillo
