Default Hmph. Cracked the slider frame.

It's always that last little bit that gets you, you know? The slider frame was off ever so slightly, so I thought I'd fix it. I sure did - I cracked the tubing on the rear bow right at the top, next to the weld.

Anyone know if this is something easily welded, and if so, will it disfigure the canopy due to different dimensions on one side vs. the other?

Alternatively, anyone seen an open cockpit RV-6A before?

Brad, easy to weld up. If you don't know someone close, you can bring it to Maple Grove and I'll gladly do it. It will mess up the powder coat for a few inches though.

Default Alex does good work!

Mine is welded by him in 2 places - it is invisible on the glued canopy! Worth the trip to Maple Grove.

I broke mine twice before I just cut it out and replaced both sides of the rear bow. If you have already drilled it you can't tweak it without cracking it.
