Question Suggestions needed concerning engine mount on O-360

Today we mounted our partially completed O-360 A1A on the 6A we're building.

Please take a look at the lower engine mount. The case does not allow the mount to fit flush against the back of the engine. My first thought was to grind a little off the engine case but I'd thought I'd ask for ideas before using the grinder.

Thanks.

Isn't there supose to be a big washer in between? I can't tell if one is there or not but that might be the problem.

Default Big washers are called for...

...Look at Drawing #46A in the preview plans set (my full size drawings are at the hanger, so hopefully that end up as the same drawing number.

Yup!

All Dynifocal 1, O-320's and O-360's will have this problem if you don't install the bottom spacer washers depicted in the install drawing.

Thumbs up Thanks folks.

When in doubt, read the manual. I simply did not recall that from the 9A we recently completed.

It was truly exciting to hang the engine for the first time.
