Where to buy stainless steel wool
I am in the process of assembling the cabin heat muff and can't find a source for stainless steel wool to place into the chamber. My usually reliable Ace store does not stock it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

West Marine
If you are around any boating stores, try them. Boaters don't use real steel wool because it rusts on the fiberglass decks and stains them. I believe West or Boat US sells SS and Bronze wool.

McMaster Carr

Tony Bingelis recommends taking a spring from an old school storm door and wrapping it around the exhaust in a couple of his books about firewall forward.

Thanks!
Thanks for the tips! I was hoping for a local retailer, but looks like McMaster and eBAy are the way to go.

SS Steel wool
Aren't some kitchen pot scrubbers stainless. Thats what I intend to use in my heat muff. Try your local grocery store in the cleaning isle.

I second Beancounter. I just got a couple pot scrubbers from the aviation aisle of the grocery store. Did the same thing in my homemade air/oil separator.
