Default Flap hinge--inny or outie??

Removed a flap to scrape off and change the UHMW tape. The plane is a 6 and it's got split flap hinge pins that stick out on the outside of the flap. Looks logical to put the 90 degree hinge pin ends on the inside of the flap when reinstalling and tie them together so they can't move. Any issue with this?? I'm sure I'll gain a tenth of a knot doing this. Seriously though, it looks a lot easier to line up the pins from the top where you can see them..Tom

That's the way I have always done them Tom - drop the flap down to ninety degrees, and put the pins in from the top to hide them. many different pretty ways to secure them - pretty much all work!
