496 battery problems

I purchase used 496 and screen shows battery charge complete then when I take ac power off it shows battery missing is this the indication that LI ION needs replacing? Any ideas????

Find someone to let you borrow their main battery to see if that is the problem first. My main battery failed and the unit would not even recognize it. ACS has them for $43.95.

Thanks Tommy, I called Garmin today they say when it shows (battery missing) after a charge the LI ION needs to be replaced. Have a good day no flying here it was -2 last night.
