Default vans wire harness

I have been finnishing up my electrical system on my 9a, I was testing the elect system to check it out with voltage meter ect, I noticed the Inst pin shows
12 volts as soon as the master switch is turned on
the radio pin only shows voltage when the switch in
on, but no switches for the inst pen, I wanted to see if the key switch disables the inst pen for starting the engine, I didn't want to surge the Dynon D-100 or the EMS-120 during startup, or do these need to be booted up before starting the engine ? I know the
manuals say kill engine if no oil pressure after 60 seconds, but I don't want to keep surging the dynons , then again maybe I need to learn more any ideas ?

Dynon say they have a robust power supply & that it's fine to leave their instruments on during starting.

Check out the discussion boards on their website.
