Weather checked with care
Off to Santa Paula,
Soon he?ll be there.
On downwind,
On base leg,
On final approach,
A sweet wheel landing
Almost above reproach!
So off on the taxiway
There arose such a clatter
It was gas pump numbers spinning,
That?s the cost? What?s the matter?
And laying a finger aside of his nose
On throttle, on prop, into the sky he arose,
But I heard him on radio ?ere he flew out of sight,
