Hmmm. I can tell you about the geology of the area but I couldn't tell you where it is. (I can tell you it ISN'T from my part of the world.) Guessing a finger lake in the northeast?

that is newport state airport in the north end of vermont. is was a great day of flying. 1,000 feet agl is about right and legal. love flying in the mountains on the calm days.
