Dynon OAT wiring options

For the three-wire OAT proble, Dynon gives 2 options for wiring this. Either you can wire it to the remote compass module (wires already terminated with pins), or you can just use two of the wires and wire it to one of the GP inputs on the 37-pin EFIS connector.
Is either one of these options preferable to the other?

Depends on where your mounting the compass and the probe..

If both are in the back, I would wire it to the compass...

You may want to use that GP input for something else as well. This might push you in that direction.
