Default DAR Inspection rules

Can anyone tell me if there is a time requirement for finishing phase one testing to be finished a certain time after the DAR inspection?

I hope to have my plane inspected the week after Thanksgiving. We have planned to go to Florida for several months right after the inspection and I need to decide if I should wait until I get back next March.

Normally there is no calendar time limit for phase I.
Occasionally an inspector will issue phase I only and may put a one year expiration on the airworthiness certificate. This is somewhat rare and only done for unusual circumstances. Even in this worse case scenario, you can get a recurrent inspection and continue with phase I.
