Default Help with main gear fairing on RV-6A

I have a 1994 RV-6A bought flying. The top main gear leg fairings have a piece of u channel rubber about 1" wide where the top fairing meets the bottom of the fuselage. The rubber is worn out. Van's does not have a replacement piece. The guy that makes fairings for Van's does not use the rubber piece. Aircraft Spruce has nothing wider than 9/16 inch and the local hardware store has nothing. Anybody out there know where I can find this.

Thanks in advance.

Default Hi John.....

....are you speaking of the gear leg fairings or the upper intersection fairings?

Bob Snedaker in Arizona makes upper and lower intersection fairings that fit like a glove with no rubber.

Check: www.fairings-etc.com.

Regards,
