Default Quickbuild priming

What (if anything) does Vans do about priming the current quick build wings and fuselages?

Red face clear primer on QB 9A

I'am only 25 miles from the VANS Factory I'am told the dull finish inside is because of the clear primer they use. RON

Yep, primed at the QB factory with a Sherwin Williams wash primer.

It doesn't have a pigment (not a requirement like here in the states), so it appears clear.

I wasn't a big believer is something I couldn't see, so I performed a test on a QB piece. I dropped the factory primed piece into alumaprep and left it for 5 minutes. At that point I pulled it out and found the primer wrinkling. It then peeled off like a banana.

After seeing that there was something actually there, I had no worries about the primer.

For not having to go through the tedious processes of building a priming, it's time and money well spent.
