Default Externally Mounted Wing antennas

G'day all,

I currently have top mounted and belly mounted antennas on my -10.
I am experiencing too much coupling from the top antenna (Comm2) into my GRT AHRS and looking at replacing it with another belly mounted unit. I don't think I can accommodate minimum separation between two belly mounted VHF comms. I am therefore considering moving the two comm antennas to the bottom of each wing.

I have heard a suggestion that mounting on a wing inspection plate may be possible.

Does anyone have any experience with mounting bent whips on the wing inspection plates? Pros/Cons?

thanks in advance
Ron
