Default Dynon - airspeed/AOA requires remote compass??

When the remote compass isn't connected to a D-80, is it normal for the airspeed tape and the AOA indicator to not be displayed properly? I powered-on my unit with the internal battery, without the remote compass isntalled, just to check-it-out, and this is what I saw:

Phil,

Looks reasonably normal to me (I have a D100/120 combo). If you're not moving, then the airspeed should be zero! I think that airspeed doesn't work well below about 20 mph anyway.

I don't have AOA, so cannot help you there.

You must activate the AOA indicator in the setup menus. Airspeed looks normal for a unit with no airspeed.
