Default AFP Pump Orientation

My Weldon pump was starting to make funny noises and draw too much power so I have decided to replace it with an AFP pump. My challenge is space - does anyone know if I can mount this on its side or upside down, or can this only go right side up?

Default AFP Pump Mounting

The normal position is horizontal in my plans. Van's included the horizontal mounts in the kit for both filter and pump.

Default Any position, behind firewall...

Mark,

I just purchased and installed the AFP install kit for my 9A. The Instructions state that the pump package can be mounted in any position. They recommend that the installation be behind the firewall. They do not recommend mounting to the firewall on down draft cooled engine installations.

Hope this helps.

Default Thanks......

....for the responses. I will mount this where it is most convenient without worrying about up or down or sideways!
