Default Dimpled or countersunk-Forward bottom skin

On the RV9 fuselage does the forward F972 bottom skin that rivets to the center spar section carrythru get dimpled or countersunk? The F972 skin is 0.040" and I think the flange on the center spar section is that thickness also. I haven't found where it is called out either way. My thought is it is better to countersink the skin then the center spar section flange. I see there are 4 rivet holes called out that are to be countersunk on the seat/baggage area bottom skin so these 4 places must be dimpled on the corresponding F972 skin.

Just wanting to make sure I am not missing anything here.

Default

I'm pretty sure it is in the instructions. Read carefully. Machine countersink.

Default Source of Explanation Memo?

I was wondering what the source was of the explanation memo (http://www.vansaircraft.com/pdf/7_9_fuselage.pdf) posted on Mike Cencula's post. The memo makes it cut and dry-unlike Vans plans. Says not to countersink the F972 forward bottom skin.

Default Must be Vans Aircraft themselves!!

Duh.....Coming from Vansaircraft.com it must have been written by Vans themselves. I hadn't seen this before. Thanks Mike for this info.
