Default Tech Tip, Auto Plugs & Inserts, G3i Ignition

Eliminate the auto plug insert from coming out with the spark plug. Cut off a deep well 7/8? socket that will allow the 5/8? spark plug socket to fit into. Grind flats to fit a 15/16? wrench on the one end. This will allow you to hold the auto plug adapter from coming out with the spark plug when inspecting or changing your plugs. Seems like 50% of mine came out with the plugs most of the time.

Thomas, thanks for linking me here. If you put an auto plug back in, did you assume the washer would reseat a second time?
