Default Just an FYI...

Garmin is offering a nice $300.00 Factory rebate on the 695 and 696.

Also, the prices have been reduced on the 495 and 496 to $1299 and $1999 respectively.

...normally precede new models. Any scuttlebutt?

My guess would be they are just trying to generate sales in a down economy.

The 696 is terriffic but to me (and I suspect many others) it is just several hundred dollars too high.

I think they may be putting a little more distance between th 696 and the G3X. Shame that my 696 is three months old :-(
