Default RE: Oil Temp ??????

Sept. 29, 2009 another hot day here in the desert SW. 7500 feet msl, OAT 63 Degrees F, Oil Temp. 162 Degrees F.

Oct. 30, 2009 cold real fast. 7500 feet msl, OAT 35 Degrees F, Oil Temp. 209 Degrees F.

Any ideas as to why hot air gives cool oil temps while cold air gives high oil temps. By the way until Sept 30, 2009 the air was hot and all flight the oil temps cool, but since the cold spell the oil temps have heated up. I git some ideas as to the cause but would like to get some input.
