Default Fuel Tank Access Hole Size?

I know the answer is probably staring me in the face but what size of hole do you cut for the fuel tank access plate? I think 5 3/4", which is the ID of the ring but I would like to make sure.

Thanks,

In the RV-6, the access plate is the same size as the doubler ring. The doubler goes on the inside of the rib with nutplae riveted through the rib and doubler. The plate screws to the outside of the rib. Don't know if it is different on the 7 though. The 6 plans specify 6 3/4" OD for the ring and the plate. 5 1/4" ID for the doubler ring.
