Default Remote monitors

Has anyone thought of hooking up a monitor from a minivan thats used to
do movies, for a larger display of some of the GPS units? I need to know if
there is video out of the Garmin GPS. I have a Son-in-law that says it could
be done if there is.

No, the aviation units do not have video output. Those car units have independent navigation software built-in to the brains of the computer. They use a basic antenna to send RS-232 GPS data to the screen brains which then utilize the information for its own navigation software.

I think you'd have a tough time implementing the same concept for aviation GPS.
