Default Why you need an instrument rating to fly in the Midwest

Check out the Photo of the Week section on Avweb this week. Scroll down to the "honorable mention" pics at the bottom. This was taken on 11-26-05, after a light overnight snowfall, with 2-3 inches of good powder on all runways and taxiways. This is why you need an instrument rating to fly in the Midwest.
