Question anyone use Spruce Glide Free push pull cables?

I need to get a parking brake cable and noticed that Spruces sells the simple A-740 Bowden Cables (same as Vans, with a detent) but they also sell something called A-730 "Glide Free" cables

I think they are both identical 0.050 solid wire controls, with a metal / poly lining. The A-740 has a "rachet" detent, while I think the A-730 "Glide Free" just moves smoothly. Both seem to be available in red, black, or black "T" handle.

I'll eventually need cables for parking brake, carb heat, oil shutter, and cabin heat. Should I just go with the rachet / detent type or does anyone have experience with the smooth types?

Also, Spruce sells two sizes of cable clamps - one for 3/16 and one for 7/32 bowden cables. Anybody know which diameter these cables are?
